Saturday Quest

The old pc in my hse needs to be upgraded. With a pentium III processor n 128mb ram, it is not sufficient enough to survive in this source-suckin-applications age. Moreover it has a history of over 3 years, old huh? Thus we embarked on a journey to search for the pieces needed to complete tis quest along wit bee, my cousin (who in the same time needed a new pc) and wai kit (the pc expert :P) We met another 2 cousins of mine later n together we scout thru low yat. Without much idea we stopped at the shop where i bought pc last time. Haha, the way they inquired n bargained realli amused wk n me, wat an eye-opener :P After much hassle we settled everything but my quest failed, i did not buy anything but onli brought bac a map of pc specs... (oh... i forgot, i bought 3 ps2 games -- HP:PoA, Spidey 2 n Silent Hill 4 :D)

Wk left aftewards n bee suggested tat i walk wit em, have tea n go to their hse for dinner which was predetermined. Cool, i got the 'consent letter'. We walked around sg wang cos ching wana buy new phone. Haha, wat an amusing trading again :P Later on we had tea at Dome. Yummy~~ I love the ice cappuccino and the chicken mushroom pie~~ =P~ Thanks ching for ur treat! ;)

Since we're in lot 10, i thought of visitin py at page one. We went into a shop where ching wanted to buy bag, we looked around for quite long, saw sumthing in the wagon which irks our interest :P we tried on several skirts, pants n exchanged em each othr. hehe, at last i bought a sand coloured skirt which is quite pretty and its only 30!! ^_^ wow, really happy!! I reached page one but its too late, the girl at the counter said py has gone home :( so we left by mrail, reach peng's car n drove bac to my uncle's hse to hav dinner wit my parents n my relatives.

wat a happy happy saturday quest! ;)

Cassini-Huygen | Field of Dreams

Whole day studyin in library was depressing ::sigh:: luckily a few issues of Time (old and new) saved my depression and granted me a deeper insight into something which i've discovered today. first is about the article on cassini-huygen space probe tat has been travellin in space to explore saturn. it was named after italian jean-dominique cassini and dutch christiaan huygens (hehe, i remember him, weve came across huygen's principle wert :P) wat captivates me most is the black and white pictures of saturn and its beautiful rings. made of water ice, the rings surround its planet like a disc with faint lines. space exploration is truly magnificent and interestin, sumthing unimaginable by the minds of human nowadays might be discovered in times yet to come. for full report, try this Cassini-Huygens Home, Spaceflight Now Cassini .

another wonderful thing is bout this travel journal ive read of. it was written by jan morris, a renowned travel writer. it was in this double issue of Asian Journey-The Road To Paradise which revolves around the theme in search for paradise. when i read her account of her magical journey through the realms of himalaya, i knew i have found it. her way of writing came through me as sumthing which ive been searchin for so long. i was overwhelmed when i read the whole thing n was overjoyed of this piece of jewel. here is an excerpt from the article entitled Field of Dreams:

"If paradise is the stuff of the conventional promise, all sweetmeats and complaisant houris, then I certainly have never experienced it. But a nirvana of a different kind I did transiently enter half a century ago, when I was on my way back to Kathmandu from Mount Everest, where I had been writing for the Times of London about the first climbers ever to make it to the top." - Jan Morris, Field of Dreams.

Song of the Moment

Song of the moment - Escaflowne: Yakusoku wa Iranai (No Need to Promise)

Listenin to the soundtracks of Escaflowne since yesterday. This song was now playin, performed by Sakamoto Maaya. Memories of yesteryear surfaced. The lending of this anime. Watching it and indulged in its own-kind-of-way story. Subsequent events after watching this anime. Happenings that were by pieces related to this. Etched on little by little in my mind it came back.

This OST is excellent, too bad I dun have the complete tracks and the compete anime too~ (I'm tryin hard to collect the rest now~) Here's my playlist:

1. Angel
2. Battle Theme
3. Flying Dragon
4. Gloria
5. Yakusoku wa Iranai
6. Romance
7. Yubiwa
8. Aoi Hitomi
9. Mystic Eyes
10. No Need to Promise

And here's the lyrics for Yaaku wa Iranai and its translation:

Nee, aishitara
Dare mo ga konna kodoku ni naru no?
Nee, kurayami yori mo
Fukai kurushini dakishimeteru no?
Nani mo kamo ga futari kagayaku tame
Kitto

Kimi wo kimi wo aishiteru
Kokoro de mitsumeteiru
Kimi wo kimi wo shinjiteru
Samui yoru mo

Nee, koishite mo dare ni mo itsuka
Owari ga kuru no?
Nee, aozora yori mo sunda
Tokimeki suteteshimau no?
Kisetsu kawari no kaze
Michi o hashiru zutto

Kimi wo kimi wo aishiteru
Kokoro de mitsumeteiru
Kimi wo kimi wo shinjiteru
Samui yoru mo

Tatoe ashita nakushite mo
Anata o ushinatte mo
Dekiru kagiri no egao de kagayakitai

Namida de ima yobikakeru
Yakusoku nado iranai
Kimi ga kurete taisetsu na tsuyosa da kara

Hitomi de ima yobikakeru
Yakusoku nado iranai
Hitomi de ima te o nobasu
Samui yoru mo

Translated:

So is everybody this lonely
When they're in love?
They'll hold onto a pain
Deeper than the shadows?
It's all to make us shine
I just know it. . .

I love you, I love you
I gaze at you with my heart
I believe in you, I believe in you
Even in the cold night

So, when in love, will the end
Eventually come to everyone?
So, would you abandon a heartbeat
Even clearer than the blue sky?
I run along the path of the season-changing-wind
The whole way

I love you, I love you
I gaze at you with my heart
I believe in you, I believe in you
Even in the cold night

Even if I lose tomorow
And you lose as well
I want to shine with all of my heart

I call out to you in tears
but I don't need any promises
That's the precious strength you've given me

Now I call out to you with my eyes
But I don't need any promises
Now I reach out for you with my eyes
Even in the cold night

Homecoming

I've opened a new blog once again! ;) This is the 3rd time I'm doin it (uh oh, am I beginnin to make it a habit??) I've stopped bloggin for a very long time, ooo... feel bad bout abandonin my blog-city site~! Perhaps of the absence in makin entries, I've lost my flair of writing. Everytime when I tried to pen down my thoughts, the words jus wudn't come out. T_T I feel tat I've abandoned the previous blog for a long time that I've lost "connection" wit it. No... I'm wun giv up my old stuff over new ones but blogs are different in this case (for me :P) I itch to start anew. Returnin myself to the embrace of blogger. Revive the enthusiasm of bloggin in me again. Oh... it's so unfair, I think I've made an unjustified opening entry for this blog. My previous blog's first entry was far better I guess (o_o)
