Whole day studyin in library was depressing ::sigh:: luckily a few issues of Time (old and new) saved my depression and granted me a deeper insight into something which i've discovered today. first is about the article on cassini-huygen space probe tat has been travellin in space to explore saturn. it was named after italian jean-dominique cassini and dutch christiaan huygens (hehe, i remember him, weve came across huygen's principle wert :P) wat captivates me most is the black and white pictures of saturn and its beautiful rings. made of water ice, the rings surround its planet like a disc with faint lines. space exploration is truly magnificent and interestin, sumthing unimaginable by the minds of human nowadays might be discovered in times yet to come. for full report, try this Cassini-Huygens Home, Spaceflight Now Cassini .
another wonderful thing is bout this travel journal ive read of. it was written by jan morris, a renowned travel writer. it was in this double issue of Asian Journey-The Road To Paradise which revolves around the theme in search for paradise. when i read her account of her magical journey through the realms of himalaya, i knew i have found it. her way of writing came through me as sumthing which ive been searchin for so long. i was overwhelmed when i read the whole thing n was overjoyed of this piece of jewel. here is an excerpt from the article entitled Field of Dreams:
"If paradise is the stuff of the conventional promise, all sweetmeats and complaisant houris, then I certainly have never experienced it. But a nirvana of a different kind I did transiently enter half a century ago, when I was on my way back to Kathmandu from Mount Everest, where I had been writing for the Times of London about the first climbers ever to make it to the top." - Jan Morris, Field of Dreams.
